If you’re an eagle-eyed Archie Horror fan, you’ve been following the burgeoning interconnected lore of the last year-plus, in one-shots starring Archie’s scream queens Madam Satan and Jinx Holliday. Those worlds collided in last month’s MADAM SATAN: HELL ON EARTH, and the fallout begins in May with the new CURSED LIBRARY one-shot!
We first got to hang out with Jinx and all her weird books in last year’s JINX GRIM FAIRY TALES, and 2023’s FCBD title hinted at just how powerful and impactful her collection might be. Now, in a wind-up to some seriously frightful and action-packed storytelling in 2024, Madam Satan and Jinx unpack the mystery behind the horrors that seem to descend upon Riverdale and its surrounding towns endlessly. Its source – the very library that Jinx calls her own. These terrifying stories are not merely tall tales, but an endless collection of dark worlds all created for the demonic Cursed Library. Who created this collection, and can the horrors finally be stopped by this unlikely team?
Free Comic Book Day is a fantastic annual event, falling on the first Saturday in May, where comic shops and comics publishers all over the country team up to bring you tons of new comics for free. All you have to do is stop by a participating retailer near you and ask for the goods, and while you’re there, it’s fun to browse all the wonderful stuff they have inside. If you’ve been meaning to check out your local comic shop, Free Comic Book Day is a great day to start.
