It is with great sadness that the Archie Comics family must share the news of the passing of artist Dexter Taylor.
Best known for his work writing and drawing the company’s Little Archie series, first as an assistant to the legendary Bob Bolling and later on his own, Taylor’s bombastic and dynamic artwork lent itself perfectly to the stories of young Archie and his friends, which often included off-the-wall and escapist tales featuring the beloved kids.
“The first day I came to work at Archie Comics I met the nicest, most helpful, friendliest and honest person: Dexter Taylor,” said Victor Gorelick, Archie’s longtime Editor in Chief and Co-President.
Archie Comics sends its deepest condolences to the Taylor family, his friends and his many fans around the world.
